Tonight at Teesdale Park Thornaby Fc VS Chester Le Street admission is £4 adults £2 consessions. Middlesbrough season tickets holders get in HALF PRICE with your season ticket on you. So come on boro fans why not come and support another local side! kick off 7.30pm. Hope to see some of you guys there and come on Thornaby!

Thornaby welcomed Chester Le Street at Teesdale Park with the hosts looking to get back to winning ways. The hosts made the better start despite it being 9 minutes before the first shots which was a free kick by Paul Callan which was saved by Crook in the Cestarians keeper and Thornaby deservidly took the lead when Karl Lilley whipped in a great corner and David Howe headed home at the near post with 21 minutes gone.Gary mitchell went for the overhead kick which went straight into Crook's arms . Chester then levelled on the counter when Marc Nixon played a long ball forward which lynch got and he crossed it back back for Nixon to level the score with 27 minutes gone.

The hosts then continued to have the better of the match with the hosts having the first chance in the second half with Karl Lilley crossing a ball in and David Howe got his foot onto the ball with the effort hitting the post. Chester then had a half chance when Hepplewaith missed his kick. The blue's then had a few more chances with the first one coming from a short corner from Lilley and the ball was crossed into thebox and Gary Mitchell hit the post with his header. David Howe then forced a good save from Crook once again with 75 minutes gone. Chester then took the lead against the run of play when a corner which came in from the right hand side and Karl Lilley sliced the ball against the post and Weir tapped home with 83 minutes gone and just two minutes later Chester then scored a third when Weir was fouled by Keenan and Referee Stephen Moran pointed to the spot and Nixon took the penna and Farrell saved but the rebound fell to Nixon and he fired home to make it 3-1. The visitors had the final chance when Hepplewhite hit a strike from 20 yards out which hit the bar with Farrell beaten in the teessiders goal.

Well how we got beat i am not sure as we dominated most of the match without putting the ball into the back of the net but credit to Chester they took there chances when they got them. Think that most of our players played well last night apart from one or two ( won't say names). Unlucky lads lets move onto saturday's MUST win match against West Allotment. Nice to see a good crowd on cold night.
