It will go ahead no matter what. The land has been purchased and the Fylde Borough Council has given the go-ahead. On Thursday there will be a public exhibition in Wrea Green which will be an attempt to please the Wrea Green community and on Friday I will be at the Kirkham Community Centre to see what the plans are. I'm definately excited about it

There should be no reason why people from Wrea Green will disapprove of it as it is a community stadium which will have facilities available for the community. I'm guessing the club will be looking for some sort of sponsorship/partnership with Ribby Hall. If that happens, we're laughing. That's going to be one of my question's tomorrow.

I hope your new ground can go ahead without a hitch. Some people like to moan about pretty much anything though so I wouldn't be surprised if some local has some kind of objection to it. Hopefully I'm wrong though and my faith in humanity can be restored.

The same people who jumped on the Wembley band wagon - happy to be associated with KW,
The Council officials - happy to sit next too/near Sir Tom will now no doubt moan and object

Burn the 2022 flags and shirts and chuck the Presi on top of them...

It is definately going ahead. According to wikipedia construction will commence later this year but that's upto the club to say but it looks as though it's heading that way.

As AFC_Fylde stated, "2022" is the target the club aims to reach the football league by, 2017 is the year the club aims to reach the Conference National by.

Just popping in "spying" on you as promised

Looks like you are consolidating in the league this season, couldn't be anymore halfway could you.18 from play offs and 18 from relegation.
Is the season going as expected?

How has the pitch been during this bad weather?

Hope all goes well at this meeting about new ground.

Regards

Hey look who it is  I expected mid-table finish this season but I predict a stronger challenge next season. Currently we are feeling teams out.

The pitch has been excellent. Even when games have been called off at Bamber Bridge, Chorley etc ours have always been deemed playable. The underpitch drainage has worked wonders and has made our pitch one of the best in this league.
As for the AFC Fylde Community stadium it's going to cost £15million to construct so it's definately going to be a decent ground, I can't wait to look at the plans tomorrow at the Kirkham community centre.

How are you enjoying your games pos? Newcastle Town aside, have you improved this season? The same or not so well? I honestly thought Newcastle Town would drop points after Christmas.

It's leased for about 18 years so once we do move into the new ground the current one will be used for training purposes, reserve games etc until the lease runs out.
