A thoroughly entertaining 0-0!
Both teams could (and should) have scored and on the balance of chances (and a missed penalty) a draw was probably a fair result. Both keepers produced top class saves, non better than the Runcorn keeper's double save towards the end.
Having said a draw was fair, I felt we were the better footballing side. Indeed a couple of their fans stood near me conceded they resorted to a lot of long balls whilst we were trying to play on a difficult surface. Stand out players for me were Jamie Hay and Kevin Black, both kept trying to work an opening.
All in all a good game and a decent crowd on a very cold day. We continued our unbeaten run and if we can get our full squad back available it's going to be a very interesting title race! With 2 teams around us (Rammy and Glossop) losing yesterday and Barlick postponed I just hope it wasnt a missed opportunity to move ahead a little bit?
